Saber Blog Update (9/2/22)

Hello Internet Family!

It’s been quite a while since my last blog update. Believe me when I say I’ve definitely wanted to write, but I can rarely find the time or motivation. I’ve had some personal revelations recently and I think it’s helped me to develop a greater focus on my craft. I’m working on some animations again. Though, I do sometimes have to make compromises. It’s not like I can work on it every day. Maybe 2-3 times a week, depending on if I have other commissions to complete. Fortunately for the time being It seems to be working well for me. While there are no guarantees as to when I can have an animation completed, I’m certainly making progress, which is all I can really ask for.

I missed out on some holiday wishes while I was away, but I did manage to make some images for the occasions. So…Happy very late Easter and 4th of July!

Now todays Saber Blog is going to be pretty short and brief. It’s less about length and more about me kicking myself to get back into the swing of things. I realize it’s been a while since my last update, so I figured I’d use this time to bring attention to some art I’ve neglected to share in the near six months since my previous post.

This month in art

I built up quite the back log of images, so I don’t really have the motivation to write up details and information about all of them. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comment section and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Some of these are just random pieces of fan art, some were commissions I did.

I have had very little time to work on my usual annual dragon piece though. I’ve been a little worried I might not get to him this year, but we’ll see what happens. I think I’ll be able to finish him up before the end of the year.

Sometimes I feel like I have made progress in my art, then I look at them and see disappointment because they don’t meet my expectations of where they should be. I realize it’s probably just in my head, but It proves I still have a long ways to go.

Fan Art

Special thanks to all of you amazing artist for all of these fun and incredible pieces. I always enjoy when I receive art from you guys. Whether it be as a gift or a trade, I enjoy it either way. You can see all of these in the fan art gallery. But I just wanted to give attention and credit to the people who made them.

And there you have it. Again, very brief, but I needed it to be in order to reestablish that motivation I mentioned earlier. I hope everyone is finding themselves well. Even if you aren’t, remember, the dawn of a new age is always just one moment away. You never know when you will find yourself in a promised land. It could even be sooner than you think.

Until next time.
